How we work

How a Scaled growth partnership works

It starts with a free audit and your Scaling Roadmap. Build work is a fixed quote. The ongoing work runs month to month, you pay for your own ads directly, and you see every number we see.

What we run for online stores

The Scaled Growth Engine, in the order we switch it on

Four stages, one team, judged on store sales. They don't all start in week one. This is the usual order, and your Scaling Roadmap can change it.

Store salesWhat every stage answers to

Acquire

Usually first

Meta ads go live once tracking is checked against real orders, and budget follows what the store says is selling. Google and Shopping come in once Meta is profitable.

Convert

Often in the first build

If the store or the landing pages leak, we fix that before we buy more traffic. Offers, bundles, reviews near the buy button and a clean checkout come first.

Keep

Set up during the build

The first buyers from the ads should get a welcome, a post-purchase follow-up and a reason to come back. So the core Klaviyo flows go in before the ad spend scales.

Compound

Once the rest pays its way

Search that holds and grows the rankings you've earned, and custom builds when an app can't do the job. It makes each month a little cheaper than the last.

The process

Four steps, and what happens when

The first two cost you nothing. You only pay once you've seen the roadmap and decided it's worth doing.

  1. 01

    Free audit

You give us access to your ad accounts, store and analytics. I go through the ads, the store, the tracking and the follow-up myself.

  2. 02

    Scaling Roadmap

A call where I walk you through what's leaking, what we'd fix first and what it would take. Packages are only prescribed after the audit.

  3. 03

    Build

Whatever the roadmap puts first: store, landing pages, tracking, creative or flows. Fixed quote, with a timeline.

  4. 04

    Scale

Month to month from here. We run the ads, brief new creative from the numbers and report store sales back to you.

Swipe for all four steps

Once you start

A typical e-commerce partnership. Your roadmap sets the real dates.

  1. Week 1

Access, checks and the first brief

Everything is set up in your name. We check the pixel and Conversions API against real orders before a dollar moves, and brief the first creative from what's already selling.

  2. Month 1

Ads live and the first report

The ads go live. Your first report puts Shopify's numbers next to Meta's, and the second round of creative is briefed from the first.

  3. Month 3

    Budget where the sales are

The spend now sits on the ads the store confirms are selling, and we decide together what to switch on next. If something isn't paying for itself, you'll hear it from me first.

Engagement terms

The terms, in plain words

There's no price list, because your roadmap sets the scope. These terms apply to every partner, every time.

Most of our e-commerce partners pay us a share of the sales we help create. If we didn't think the ads would sell, we wouldn't offer to be paid out of the sales they make.

Before anything
A free audit and your Scaling Roadmap. Packages are only prescribed after the audit.
Build work
A fixed quote. 50% deposit, and 50% on launch.
Ongoing growth
A monthly partnership, often a share of new-customer revenue, agreed in writing before we start.
Ad spend
Always yours, paid straight to Meta or Google. It never runs through us.
Ownership
Every account, site and data set stays in your name.
Term
Month to month, 30 days notice, no lock in. The agreement only survives while it keeps paying for itself.

What you own

All of it stays yours

If we ever part ways, nothing has to be rebuilt, moved or handed back. We work inside your accounts from day one.

  • Your Meta Business Manager, ad accounts, pixel and Conversions API.
  • Google Ads, Analytics and Search Console, set up under your business.
  • Your Shopify store, theme, apps and domain.
  • Your Klaviyo account, with every list, flow and template we build in it.
  • Every customer, order and lead the work brings in.

How we report

Store numbers, not just ad dashboards

Meta and Google mark their own homework. A purchase in Ads Manager can be a duplicate or a test order.

You can't scale what you can't track, so every report puts the store's numbers next to the platform's, and says which is which:

  • Sales, orders and new customers, straight from Shopify.
  • Spend, cost per purchase and return, labelled as Meta-reported or Google-reported.
  • What we changed since the last report, what we're testing next, and why.

You also keep live access to every account, so you can check any figure yourself, any day.

Straight about fit

Who this isn't for

We do our best work with newer brands that have a product people want and money set aside to grow it, established brands ready to push harder, and builders who need more work, more crew, or both.

  • There's no ad budget yet.The spend is yours and goes straight to Meta or Google, so it has to exist before we start.
  • The product hasn't found its buyers.Ads help a good product sell faster. They won't rescue one people don't want.
  • Nobody is ready for the extra work.If enquiries won't get answered or orders won't get packed, more traffic just makes that worse.
  • You need a promised number before we've seen your accounts.Nobody honest can give you one. Your roadmap will tell you what's realistic.

If that's you, I'll say so on the first call.

Questions about working with us

Something not covered here? Ring Jed on 0400 463 257.

What does the free audit look at?

Your Meta and Google ad accounts, the store or website, the tracking between them, and what happens to a buyer or a lead after the first click. I do it myself, then call you and walk you through your Scaling Roadmap. Either way, you leave the call with value.

Why don't you publish prices?

Because we don't know what you need until we've looked. Packages are only prescribed after the audit. Build work then gets a fixed quote, and the monthly side is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How does a revenue share work?

Instead of a flat monthly fee, you pay us a share of the new-customer revenue we help create. We agree the share, and exactly how it's measured from your store's numbers, in writing before we start. When the ad platform and the store disagree, we bill on the store.

Will I actually deal with Jed?

Yes. I run the audit and the roadmap call myself, and I stay across your account after that.

Free audit, then your Scaling Roadmap

It's time to get Scaled.

Fill in a few details and I'll go through your ads, your website or store, and how you follow up enquiries, then show you what's leaking and what we'd fix first. If we're not a fit, no worries at all. You'll still leave with something you didn't know before.
