Shopify websites and migrations for Australian brands

We build new Shopify stores and move brands off Ecwid and WooCommerce. Customers, reviews, orders, redirects and email consent come across properly, and the store gets built by the same team that runs your Meta ads.

What we check on every move

What this is

A store built by the people buying its traffic.

We don't build websites as digital brochures. We build them as sales assets, and we can, because we're the ones running the ads that send people to them.

Run a store's Meta ads every day and you learn which product is really selling, what people ask before they buy and where they drop off. That goes into the build: the hero product leads the home page, the common questions get answered next to the buy button, and anything slowing the checkout comes out.

It also means one team owns the result. If a product page stops converting, the people who noticed fix it that week.

Who this is for

Brands on Shopify that want the store and the ads pulling the same way, and brands that have outgrown Ecwid or WooCommerce. If you want a template site nobody watches after launch, we're the wrong team.

The build

What goes into a Scaled Shopify build

Every build is quoted after the free audit, so the list moves with your store. Most include these.

  • A theme built around your best sellers

Your proven products and offers first, designed on a phone before a desktop, because that's where Meta traffic lands.

  • Product pages that answer the buying questions

Reviews under the buy button, finance, delivery and returns in plain words, and the details people ask about.

  • Bundles and a free-shipping line

Offers that lift the order value. More on CRO and landing pages.

  • Postage accurate to the cent

Australia Post or courier rates and zones, tested with real addresses before launch.

  • Tracking that matches the store

Pixel, Conversions API, GA4 and Klaviyo checked against real test orders before any ad runs.

  • Email live on day one

Welcome, abandoned cart and post-purchase flows switched on at launch. See email and SMS.

  • Markets beyond Australia

New Zealand or another market in Shopify Markets, with its own domain, duties and delivery settings.

  • Custom builds when an app can't do it

Checkout rules, trade portals and warranty forms, built in-house. See AI development.

Migrations

Moving off Ecwid or WooCommerce with everything intact

A migration is the one time a store can quietly lose years of work in a weekend, so we plan it line by line and test it before the domain moves.

In August 2026 we moved Rick Grant's Gluten Free from Ecwid to Shopify. The customer list came across, every review landed on the right product, and every old product link got a redirect.

The migration checklist, short version

  • Customers, with the email and SMS consent they actually gave.
  • Order history, so repeat buyers are still recognised.
  • Reviews with dates and stars, on the right product.
  • A 301 redirect for every old product, collection and page URL.
  • Discount codes, gift cards and loyalty balances.
  • Postage rules tested with real addresses in every zone.
  • Pixel, Conversions API and Klaviyo tested with a live order.
  • Search Console re-verified and the new sitemap submitted.

You sign off the full version, line by line, before the domain moves.

What breaks

What a rushed migration costs you.

Most of the damage doesn't show on launch day. It turns up a month later, when the emails bounce, the rankings slide and the ads can't find buyers.

Email consent (the trap)
Each platform records marketing consent its own way. Import every customer as subscribed and you're emailing people who never said yes: a Spam Act problem, and the complaints hurt delivery to the people who did opt in. On Rick's move, only the customers who had opted in went into Klaviyo as subscribers. Everyone else kept their account and order history.
Old links
Every product URL without a redirect becomes a dead page for Google, old emails and saved links. The rankings go with it.
Reviews
Skip them and every product page starts again with no stars, right when buyers need a reason to trust you.
Tracking
If the pixel isn't firing on the new checkout, Meta learns from nothing and cost per purchase climbs while everyone blames the creative.
Postage
Rough rates lose money on heavy orders or overcharge light ones and kill the cart.

A new build

A store for a product Australians hadn't seen.

Nuracom sells an automated ceiling laundry rack: a considered purchase that has to be installed. The store opened in April 2026 with no reviews and no sales history.

We built the store and its landing pages, put Google reviews, finance and delivery promises above the fold on every product page, and tested checkout, Klaviyo and tracking before the first ad ran.

Then we set the brand up for New Zealand, with its own market, a .co.nz domain and the right import settings.

How long does a Shopify build or migration take?

It depends on the catalogue and how much history comes across. The timeline is in writing in the fixed quote, after the free audit: 50% deposit, 50% on launch.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I move to Shopify?

Not if the redirects are done properly. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect, titles and descriptions come across, and the new sitemap goes into Search Console the day the domain moves. Then we watch the crawl errors and fix anything that slipped.

Do my customers have to reset their passwords?

Passwords never transfer between platforms, but Shopify's current customer accounts sign people in with a one-time code sent to their email, so there's nothing to reset. A short welcome-back email explains it.

Can you move my email list without breaking the Spam Act?

Yes. We carry across the consent each customer actually gave, and only people who opted in go into Klaviyo as subscribers. Everyone else keeps their account and order history. They just don't get marketing emails until they say yes.

Why Shopify?

It handles payments, Afterpay, postage and overseas markets well for Australian stores, and it's what we run ads into every day. If there's a genuine reason to stay where you are, the audit will tell you.

Who owns the store when it's finished?

You do. The store, domain, theme, apps and data are all in your name, and so are the ad accounts. If we ever part ways, you keep everything.
